Set in the 4½ acre grounds of the owners' Tudor farmhouse, their hilltop setting affording lovely views across the fields, they are ideally located for exploring the myriad attractions Suffolk has to offer. The popular and elegant seaside town of Southwold, with its quaint shops and carefully restored pier, and Aldeburgh – perhaps as famous for the quality of its fish and chips as it is for its connections to the composer Benjamin Britten – are both within an easy drive as are the castles at Framlingham and Orford, and Snape Maltings with its renowned concert hall, cafes and independent shops. Walkers and nature lovers will love Dunwich Heath and RSPB Minsmere whilst a visit to Sutton Hoo (N.T.) and the lovely harbour and town at Woodbridge makes a trip to remember. The medieval city of Norwich, with its cathedral, castle, galleries and fine shopping, also offers a delightful day out. Fishing, golf and riding are found locally.
Just 2 miles away, the delightful old market town of Halesworth is home to a wealth of interesting shops, traditional inns and good eating-houses, as well as The Cut, a community arts centre offering an exciting programme of music, theatre, dance, comedy, cinema, workshops and Art Exhibitions.

This beautiful county is situated to the south of Norfolk, with Cambridgeshire to the west, Essex to the south, and the North Sea to the east. It has much to offer the visitor, including the wetlands of the Broads, the Wool Towns, and a coastal strip to the east known as “The Sandlings”. There are over 5000km of marked paths as well as national cycle routes, along with country parks, nature reserves such as the Trimley Marshes, and picnic sites.
Suffolk’s notable towns include Ipswich (the county town), Felixstowe, Lowestoft, Bury St Edmunds and Newmarket.
West Suffolk is famed for its archaeological discoveries, especially that at Sutton Hoo in 1939. A grassy mound was found to be a ship burial ground containing a collection of Anglo-Saxon treasures, including a Sword of State, a shield, a helmet, gold and silver bowls, jewellery and a lyre. The site is now owned by the National Trust.
